Robot Relief Sculpture: Inspired by the artist Fernand Leger

Fernand Leger’s art changed from abstract and cubist works to his ‘mechanical period’. Machine-like objects became important in his artwork. After learning about this important artist, creatives will build a relief sculpture using upcycled and found objects.
Toddler Time: Mini Monet

Toddlers and a special adult will join Ms Debbie to celebrate the art of Monet. Monet was an impressionist master known for his landscape paintings. Curious and enthusiastic little artists will explore creative art experiences designed just for them.
Mixed Media Picasso Faces

Ms Debbie will introduce the art of Pablo Picasso to little artists. They will use mixed media concepts and recycled materials to create Picasso faces. This open ended experience encourages children to experiment with colors, shapes and materials.
Family Fun: Clay Ornament Workshop
December 14, 2024, 10:00am-12:30pm
Instructor: Brenda Gariepy
Cost: $15/per person. Children 12 and under, must be accompanied by a paying adult.
A holiday clay ornament workshop for kids & adults. In this workshop families will make their own unique handmade clay ornaments! Instructor Brenda Gariepy will demonstrate how to work with clay and use tools to make textures. Learn to transfer images using very simple silkscreen techniques.
Ornaments will be glazed and fired, just in time for the Holidays. Give them as gifts or as decoration for your home.
Prompted with the same theme and materials, multi-generational ARTmaking at Waterworks allows families to create together.
