Parking

If you are parking for class or dropping off students for classes, we ask that you DO NOT park in the F&M parking lot or spaces designated for bank or Waterworks’ employees during week-day business hours.  Please allow adequate time to locate free on-street or public parking within a two-block radius (see carpool map).

Photography Policy

Photographs of Summer ARTventure classes will be taken by a member of Waterworks’ staff. Images will be used for marketing purposes including printed and social media.  No identifying information will be used in conjunction with or as part of the photograph. All parents are asked to sign a photo release form as part of class registration.

Youth Art Exhibitions

Each class concludes with Student  Demonstrations/Exhibitions for their families on Fridays.  Exhibitions are held the last 30 minutes of each Friday’s class.  Family and friends should park on the street or in public lots and enter Waterworks through the front lobby.  All attendees will be released to go upstairs at the same time.

COVID-19 Safety

The health and safety of our community is our main priority.  In order to keep everyone safe and well, all staff, teachers, volunteers, students, and/or visitors, upon entering the Waterworks’ facility, will be required to wear a face mask and undergo daily personal health screening. Heath screenings include a non-contact infrared forehead temperature scan and health questionnaire.

All staff, instructors, interns, volunteers, and students will participate in increased handwashing and use hand sanitizer. Each classroom is equipped with hand sanitizer and a sink for handwashing.

Class sizes have been reduced to a maximum of 10 students in order to accommodate health and safety measures, and social distancing.

Waterworks adheres to all local and state mandates, follows CDC and NCHHS guidelines, and will adapt as necessary.

Waterworks requires that staff and program participants meet the following health screening criteria within the last 72 hours:

  • A temperature of 98.6 or less
  • No symptoms of COVID-19
  • No contact with someone experiencing symptoms  of COVID-19
  • No contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19

If staff, instructors, interns, volunteers, or students begin to experience illness or symptoms of COVID-19, they will be kindly asked to leave the facility or be picked up along with any siblings who are attending the program. Waterworks will communicate with families if a staff member, instructor, intern, volunteer or student within their child’s group is diagnosed with COVID-19.
